McSwaggin's Pong For the second annual scratch coding competition, I chose my game, McSwaggin’s Pong, which is based on the game Pong. Pong first debuted as an arcade game in 1972 . Then, Atari added bricks, to create the game, Breakout. Pong is a two-dimensional sports game that simulates table tennis. The player controls an in-game paddle by moving it vertically across the left side of the screen, and can compete against either a computer-controlled opponent or another player controlling a second paddle on the opposing side. Players use the paddles to hit a ball back and forth. The aim is for each player to reach eleven points before the opponent; points are earned when one fails to return the ball to the other1. The first company to publish this game was Atari. The controls of my game are, use the arrow keys to move the bat. Make sure the ball does not hit the red, but try to hit McSwaggin, because something funny happens when you do! I added a few features of my own, including: • McSwaggin • The smiley face ball • “Luv is a Verb” (The song) Credit to my cousin Ashton, for adding the humor, and scratch user J42, for some programing. please report any glitches (the face in the middle is supposed to go up and down) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- update news! - changed McSwaggin's look (may rename hime as well) - changed ball's look - renamed ball to "McSwaggin jr." - no longer pixelated! - whenever you touch the paddle, it will create new clone of McSwaggin jr. - must click flag twice to start - might lag if you create to many McSwaggin jr, clones
