So firstly, congrats on 5k! (6k now!) Your work is absolutely stunning and you definitely deserve it! Second, in the spirit of @geijutsu being an experimental account for bending your art style, I decided to try to bend my own style- making it simplistic with defined lines (I tried to make them smooth but it was hard hahah) Third, I would like to commend you for your excellent taste in films- Studio Ghibli is amazing. I considered attempting to draw in a studio ghibli style but decided instead to attempt one of my personal favorite things about Studio Ghibli- the contrast between the detail in the background and foreground, almost as if they are different mediums. So! I drew a traditional background using chalk and oil pastels and a digital foreground. Also look at me, finishing the day before the last possible day hahah.
