ok here it is: my opinion on the new album :0 first, the songs, ranked: 11/10 Redecorate 10/10 Mulberry Street 9.99/10 Saturday 9.5/10 The Outside 9.5/10 Never Take It 9.5/10 Bounce Man 9/10 Shy Away 8.9/10 No Chances 8/10 Good Day (i probably just haven't listened to this and bounce man enough) 7.9/10 Choker (but i loveddddd the music video) 6.7/10 Formidable overall opinion: there's no denying that it sounds really different than many of the other albums. my personal theory for why it sounds... happier? is that tyler's feeling healthier rn the tunes are really catchy, which is why this is probably my second-favorite album atm (after vessel) the one thing i'd say about this is that the rapping (mainly in the outside) doesn't have the raw emotion of car radio / isle of flightless birds / migraine / holding on to you / ode to sleep. (but bits of this still shine through in SAI, like in redecorate especially) edit: i just read about the meaning behind redecorate and i didn't think it was possible to love it more but now i do- edit 2: i just watched the redecorate lyric vid and i can't with these people they're too good edit 3: this song has ruined me edit 4: excuse me while i sob overall rating: fantastic/10 so that's it :) my ratings will probably change based on my mood lol what are your thoughts on the album? ---- font from dafont (WT Monarch Nova) image from google (scaled and icy - twenty one pilots) music: Mulberry Street by twenty one pilots, Redecorate by twenty one pilots (i don't own any of the music)
