As birds sang and blossoms sprouted in the newly awakened trees, there was no doubt in the minds’ of cats that Spring had finally come. And, like most years, it brought with it many new arrivals. First, in ShadowClan, there were four new kits in the nursery. Applekit, Beetlekit, and Cricketkit were born all of one litter, to Brindledash and Tanglestep. Then, there was little Fallowkit, born to a very small, sickly she-cat by the name of Morninghaze, and her mate, Duckcry. Across the forest in WindClan, there were five new arrivals, but you only need to know of two at the moment. There was Whisperkit, a blue-gray she-kit with blue eyes, and her brother, Badgerkit. But, the Clans obviously aren’t the only place cats are born and raised. In what those cats would learn to call the Twolegplace, a pale creamy she-cat took her first breaths, and two brothers did the same, out in No Clans Land. And even far, far away, across mountains and rivers and valleys, large litters of kits did the same. Despite the miles that separated these felines, and the borders and the hatred and the seeming impossibility of them ever coming into contact, they wouldn’t be far into their 3rd year alive by the time they all knew of each other’s names and were familiar with each other-though whether they liked each other or not you have yet to find out. I do promise you, however, that they will know of each other, and there will be very strong feelings, both good and bad. The rest is up to you to read, and to figure out.
