I listen to a lot of true crime and hear about a lot of cults so basically I just find something I find interesting in a cult then I use that in Kaoi and Noroi’s backstory but I also add some stuff that just didn’t happen. But if it didn’t happen it’s based on but changed from what actually happened. But there’s also just stuff I made up, getting some inspiration form anime tho lol, too so yeah have fun guessing. I realized I just kinda dropped Kaoi’s backstory PMV on y’all without explaining anything so I’ll explain it here: Basically they (Kaoi and Noroi) were taken in by a cult (their family died and they had nothing), then they had to be tested to see if they could torture and kill. Kaoi succeeded, Noroi failed. So Noroi had to be experimented on and tortured and stuff, sometimes used as a weapon cause her powers. In this cult you basically torture someone, kill them, then go torture yourself to atone for what you did. If you want to test out a torture method and not atone you can use someone like Noroi because they’re “sinners” and won’t do “god’s work” and they supposedly worship the devil cause they won’t btk (you could search but the definition of that if you want) people. I hope that makes sense .-. That is the explanation for the Kaoi PMV and only a tiny bit of this, this is the explanation for this: It’s basically Kaoi talking to/about/thinking about Noroi and what happened. That person that’s all black but their face is drawn in white? That’s the person that took them in.
