This is a piece of art for mine and Rainbow's book, The Kingdom Beyond the Stars! Press space to change the falling objects. Yes, this was once a comic. But we stopped doing it a while ago, and now we've decided to turn it into a book. Also, we've made some minor edits to the characters' personalities and appearance, so in case you don't recognize these cats anymore, the black one one the left is Amethyst, the calico in the middle is Crystal, and the golden brown one is Onyx, also Crystal's sister. We're so sorry if you can't recognize your characters anymore, we've tried to make the edits as small as possible.

In case you want to read the first chapter, it is here: The sun showered glittering sunshine into the royal garden. Frustrated whispers and cheerful laughs echoed through the dense shrubs. The three royal princesses – Crystal, Amethyst and Onyx were disporting themselves in the balmy air. After a while of arguing, they finally decided to play the game hide and seek. “Ten, nine, eight...” A black pelted kitten mewed in a rapid tone, secretly peeking through from the gaps between her paws, “Seven, six...” While she was counting, a honey brown figure flashed through into the coverts, leaving the branches with the newborn jasmine buds shuddering alone. Soon, the caramel kit appeared outside the shaking covert and called with an irritated voice, “That is CHEATING, Amethyst! Close your eyes!” “Okay, okay, fine! "Amethyst replied, disappointed. During their argument, the bush behind Onyx abruptly trembled. Then, a white pelt with cream and black patterns secretly passed by in silence. Her two arguing sisters failed to notice her, and she successfully leaped into the tansy patch behind Amethyst. Behind the tansy patch and the bush, a calico kit lets out a relief sigh. Comparing to the other two kits, she looked more mature. This was Crystal, the eldest princess in the kingdom. Unlike Amethyst and Onyx, which one was a little clumsy and the other one is more stubborn, Crystal is the one that can calm others down and soberly face difficulties. This is the most precious characteristic of this ripen princess, and which is why almost everybody expects for the queen to pick Crystal as her heir. “It is lucky that Amethyst didn’t notice me,” she thought, “The bush caused odd noises and Amethyst has sensitive ears. Thanks a lot to Onyx for distracting her.” Crystal gently slipped down the hill behind the tansy patch. Winter is over, and spring is approaching here: grasses grew underneath her paws, and there is a fresh scent of soil flowing in the air, which she has not smelt for ages. The silver stream’s rushing sound went into Crystal’s ears. She dropped her head to drink the ice-cold stream water Stretching her limbs, she smiled broadly, feeling the sunshine flooded through every single part of her body. “Good that I know the best hiding place,” Crystal thought, relaxing beside the stream. The hiding spot that Crystal discovered was an elusive cave that is hidden by innumerable weeds, covered with moldy moss. Everything about here was perfect, except a tiny breach upon the rusty wall like an opened window. Crystal shortly settled herself in the cave, then conscientiously started grooming her calico pelt. After this journey to the cave, her pelt was full of the forest’s smell, and all tangled together by small skeins. “Hello!” An unfamiliar voice made Crystal jump. She cautiously turned around, tightened her muscles, prepared to attack the stranger. But shockingly, a pair of purple paws leaned on the breach, then a white head appeared.
