STORY: -------------------------------- I sit in Potions class, the last class of the day, bored of Professor Snape's long rambling of who knows what. My friend, Kyla, who sits behind me, passes a note. It's a drawing of Professor Snape, as a snake? Yes, Kyla is a very good artist, but this I didn't understand. "And that is how you make a Confusing Concoction. Serene, could you recite that?" Professor Snape asks me. I whip my head around, so I'm facing him. "Well..." I stutter. "You add the... and then the... and then you mix it?" "Were you listening at all?" He hisses. "No, sir." I mumble. "Because of your atrocious classmate, I am deducting 20 points from Gryffindor." He says to the class. Atrocious? ATROCIOUS?! How DARE he call me atrocious! After class, Kyla walks up to me. "What was that all about?" She asks. "I don't know." We get to the Fat Lady's painting. "Heldink Defina" I said. When we get inside, the Gryffindor Prefect, John Kideline, walks up to us. "Serene. You need to stop getting points deducted. Slytherin is coming close behind us, and we can't afford to loose 1st place." he says. "Okay, John." I say. I turn my head to Kyla, who is blushing a deep pink, twirling a strand of her curly brunette hair. "What's up with you?" I ask her. "Have you ever noticed John's blue eyes?" she asks. "No, why?" "I don't know. He's just so... cute." she looks like she's about to melt into a puddle right there. "Eww!" I shout, sticking my tongue out. "I will never forget that! I thought you weren't over Larry yet." "Don't remind me about Larry." Kyla glares at me. "Okay." I joke. We set down our bags and head to the Mess Hall. As we sit down at the table, Headmaster Dumbledore walks up to the podium. "What is he doing?" I ask Kyla. "How would I know?" She says. "Ahem. Students, Harry Potter is alive! He will be joining us in a couple years. He escaped He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named's grasp. We are extremely lucky. Now, Enjoy your supper." After supper, we head back to the dormitory. I look around for my journal, and suddenly, I remember. I left it in Potion's class. I run out of the dormitory, and go down to the basement. I sneak around the dark corners, before seeing a door. I have never seen the door before, and this is my 3rd year at Hogwarts. I slowly open the door... -------------------------------- THE END!
