- - - have you joined swc yet? no? well- go do it now then! *i'm failing at advertising swc* swc is really fun. it's like an actual camp. it's really fun askfgf xDD it takes place over the month of july, and it's basically a camp where you write. there's a bunch of different cabins, and they're all competing to be #1. the cabins are named after different genres of writing, like historical fiction, realistic fiction, etc. the name doesn't mean anything, though - you can write in whatever genre you want. the cabin with the most points at the end of swc wins. you can earn points for your cabin in a few different ways: - write and count your words. one word = one point - do the daily and weekly activites posted in the main cabin. some dailies and all weeklies count for points, and weeklies (is that the right spelling?) are usually worth more. like the names suggest, daily activities change each day and weekly activites change each week. - enter the writing competition. there's a bunch of different awards you can get and they're worth different amounts of points - do word wars - if you win, you get 50 points for your cabin - etc etc, there's a lot of other things but i can't think of them right now ahaha swc is also a super cool community with a ton of supportive people and inside jokes and things like that, so if you don't join, you'll be missing out on a lot. if you join you'll also be able to make new friends in your cabin when you sign up, you get to request a cabin - this is very important! you have to choose dystopian, or no cookies for you >:p i'm going to be co-leading dystopian cabin with @stariqe and @sea-doodles, so be sure to choose dystopian- i promise it'll be a lot of fun! also, you'll be on the winning side :D i might redo this later because it's really messy xD but anyways, go sign up if you haven't already! you can find the signups on @-alocasia's profile or at https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/535977745/ - - -
