Story: 2 prides... The River Pride and the Valley Pride. The River Pride is one who sticks with the tellings of ancestors; That when the male cubs are older, they are kicked out. Unless they can beat the alpha. They can challenge the alpha whenever they want, it doesn't have to be during their... 'Banishment.' They have their den near the river, along the bank. It has a rock formation they use as a sort of 'camp.' ( Think of like a warrior cats camp. It'll be based off that in this RP ). They are loyal to the pride and the tellings of the ancestors. If somecat denies, or refuses to believe, the ancestors' rules, they're banished from the pride. They are known for their swimming, which is *highly* unusual for the other lions. They take pride in their rules, thinking it's the ONLY way prides should live. The Valley Pride is one who denies the tellings of the ancestors. They think it's unfair how the ancestors decided on how ALL lions should live through their prides, suggesting that they were alive many centuries ago and times have 'changed' since then. They take in any of the banished from the River Pride, welcoming them in with open paws. They have a single den in the side of the valley. ( Like a single cave in the side of the 'wall' ) This is their hot spot; They love it. Daily stampedes will come through, so it's easy to hunt. About 15-20 yards across the valley is a story of pond that run-off water comes in ( Hide "ancestor's tellings" in your comment if you have read this to get a *free pizza* ) when it rarely rains. Luckily, it's a big pool, enough to last them *years* in 100+ degree heat. They are known for their speed, as well as sneakiness. They are sly, and trust no one if they believe in the ancestor's rules. They take pride in their thinking, believing it's the TRUE way for the rides to live. Both prides are at war. Though they 'share' the land, they have split it in half over the years. Sometimes, prides will take in stray cubs ( Hyena cubs + Cheetah Cubs + Leopard/Panther Cubs + African Wild Dog Cubs ). There is also a hyena cackle that sides with no one, unless given the chance to feast to their heart's content. They are ruthless and cruel, never giving mercy to the biggest of lion/esses, nor the youngest of cubs. If they learn that a hyena cub had strolled away and landed in a lion pride's clutches, they believe that the lions are going to k**l it, or at least threatening it at the time. They are known for their laugh, which startles the bravest of animals. They are great hiders. Half sides with the River Pride, have sides with the Valley Pride ( For specific reason I'll reveal if this RP comes true ).
