Chapter 4 -- Lihn Song Lihn sat up with a gasp. What was that weird shadow feeling? Why had it just disappeared? Footsteps came from the door, and slowly opened it enough so Lihn could see the silhouette of Tam. “Are you alright?” he asks. “I thought I heard noises…?” Lihn took in a breath. “Yeah, um, so- some weird shadow thoughts MAY not be that happy,” Tam looked at her. “Soo, you're saying that noise was shadows?” Lihn nodded, and said, “Yeah, I felt like they were, like, invading my mind… it felt like they were trying to sink me under.” Tam paled. “What do you mean ‘Sink me under’?” he said sharply. “Like, tried not to let me be conscious again.” Lihn explained. He looked at her. “This is bad.” Chapter 5 -- Tam Song Shadows? Doing what Lihn described? No… just no. They couldn’t! … Could they? Tam knew so little about his abilities. What if he was having a nightmare before he awoke, and set shadows all around the house? What if the Neverseen did it? What if Lihn was having a nightmare, and it was just her imagination? No, it wasn’t Lihn’s imagination. Tam knew that. She wouldn’t have bothered to mention it to him if it was. So, to him, it was most likely to be the Neverseen. Do they have a new Shade? Was it not them? Tam grumbled as he walked out of Lihn’s room, telling her to try to get more sleep, and to call for him if everything happened. He froze in place halfway through the hallway. What if there is someone else who had this happen? Tam turned around and slid down the rest of the hallway towards his enormous room. He rummaged through a box hidden under his bed, pulling out two things. The first thing was a rock. Yep, just a normal rock. But it wasn’t so normal to Tam. This rock was the first thing he had ever used shadows to move. Sure, it wasn’t like him to keep sentimental things, but it meant a lot to him. The second thing he pulled out was a cloth napkin. Also, yep, just a normal napkin. This one had no sentimental value to it. At all. The only reason he kept it was because Lady Zillah said that it was good to have something to focus your energy on, and Tam had chosen a napkin. (A/N xD) Tam stared at the rock, and swirls of shadows shot through the walls, gathering upon the rock. If Tam focused enough, he could feel the Shadowvapor churning below the surface, waiting to be commanded by him. Wait… shadowvapor?
