--------------------------------------------------------------------------- space to advance, hold click to zoom!! 1. journaling by candlelight 2. everest bust (this one was low effort done at like 3am but i thought i should include it anyway) 3. wildflowers oh yeah woo yeah dtae time oh yeah i love how this entry turned out which is good cause i love this design!! really gives off those foresty adventurer wanderer vibes its wonderful <3 it also fits super well with Tides in general!! yes yes this is a Tides character, ive been meaning to get more normal alive characters to balance out the amount of ghosts/monsters and also the harness + shawl combo really works bc in a Tides lore/info project im working on, it mentions lots of animals wear harnesses to carry stuff and shawls to stay warm cause that just makes sense so,, yeah it's perfect!! yeye lets go --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Everest spends their days trekking under stars and trotting over winding roads. Rigging up satchels and bags to his red harness, he delivers packages and letters to remote areas- journeys usually take weeks. Luckily Everest is a natural nomad and savors the feeling of chasing the horizon. They often go off the path and through wilderness, guided only by stars and constellations. Like any nomad, they have an exceptional sense of direction and survival skills, and are able to live off the land they travel through. Usually he'd run his routes alone but occasionally he'd join up with the other couriers in the area to conquer a particularly rocky mountain pass. Then they spend the evenings gathered around a campfire, exchanging stories and food. Everest specializes in pointing out the constellations. Relying on the heavens to guide him means he's practically memorized every arrangement! A talented astronomer, they often chart the stars in their journal. Trading these maps to other wanderers is how he met his lover, Artemis. Artemis was a journeying artist who'd temporarily joined up with the traveling couriers. The group split to go separate ways as usual, Everest and Artemis still found themselves wandering the same way. They grew close, and the lone wanderers turned into a team. Unfortunately Artemis had to retire from the nomad's life after an accident that left it hard for them to walk. So they settled in a cozy forest cabin where they still make art and stay in good spirits! Everest still has to run his routes so he's away from their home a lot, but that only makes the reunion sweeter when their collar bell rings from the cabin's porch, bags full of flowers for his love. There's always a new painting waiting for him and always more room for pressed flowers to be strung on the window eaves. fun facts/notes! - Everest refers to Artemis as their lover instead of partner because it sounds sweeter <3 and because Artemis, a true artist, seems to find appreciation in the tiniest things! Truly, a lover <3 - Everest goes by he/they and Artemis goes by they/them :D - Artemis is a coati! I really wanna draw them sometime - I imagine Everest confessed his love with anonymous letters: "hey haha more mail for you, yep its the secret admirer again ahaha i have no idea how they knew your favorite flower mhm haha" - He brings Artemis a bunch of trinkets/souvenirs and art supplies he gets while traveling <3 - Everest, naturally, as a deliveryman, gets himself into uhh,,, interesting situations? for the most part its all legal and normal but occasionally smuggling something is just what comes with the job - I also really wanna draw the other travelers!
