This is a small project containing some things I have coded so far for a project I would like to start during the summer. This will be an advanced version of the Stickman RPG Adventure 2 game I have posted on my profile. =============== Main Changes ============== As you can see, the main character isn't a stickman anymore. I tried to create more realistic characters so that the game appears to be of a higher quality. The Slime's animation (not final) is also a bit more polished. So, for those who doesn't know, the last Stickman RPG Adventure project couldn't be finished because of a lack of space inside the project. This is why I am starting to work on Scratch offline and if I finish this project, I won't be able to post it on Scratch, but I will try to post it somewhere else. If people show interest, I may do some updates to show the progess and write my ideas for now (I have quite a lot all written on some Google Docs). =============== GAMEPLAY ================ The gameplay will be a bit different compared to the last game. Instead of being focused in repetitive fights, it will be more focused on overworld actions. For example, you will be able to master many competences as Alchemy (to make potions), Trading (to trade goods with NPCs), Farmer (to collect ingredients), Trapping (to capture monsters), Cooking (to create powerful dishes), Crafting (to create strong equipments) and much more. Each of those competences will have a skill tree to develop new techniques and become more efficient. The combat system will also get some changes. First, instead of very high numbers like in the last game, heroes and monsters will have Hearts. One heart represents 4 HP. Monsters will have a predetermined patern (not entirely random like before) and will (maybe) show type of action they are about to do to create more strategy. A distance system will be added, meaning that enemies can go out of reach and be only hittable by ranged attacks like arrows. In this new game, heroes will be able to use any weapon (mages can use swords, and swordmen can use wands!). However, they will all have a unique skill tree to go with each weapon, so a mage will probably have a lot less skills to unlock with a sword than a wand. Also, most of the skills unlocked can only be used with the right weapon, but some passive skills can be active regardless of the weapon used. There is a lot more to say about gameplay, but that's all I can write for now! ================= Story =================== The story will be almost the same as in the last game, but much more developped. I wrote a lot of story for Stickman RPG Adventure 2, but I didn't have the space to fit everything, so this will be the occasion to add more. Your character (the one on the screen) will go in an adventure to save the world from the God's fury. You will be able to encouter each one of the 9 Gods during your playthrough and your actions will determine the ending: what you do matters. Meet new friends and enemies in this brand new adventure! (Well, mostly new) ================= Music =================== The music will sound a lot like the one in the previous game, but I will try to remake some of them so that they are up to date. You can hear the new basic battle theme in the background of this project. ================ Other Infos ================ My goal for this game is to create a project that will surpass everything that I did so far. I have improved a lot since the creation of Stickman RPG Adventure 2 and I want to see what I can do in a real, full project like this one. This will take a while, and I don't know if I will be able to finish it, but if I do, I would like to try to send it to a known game platform (like Steam) to see if people like the game.
