This is technically a SAC drawing, but I have lots to say about this so I decided to give it it's own project. Old drawing came from around 2016, I'm not really sure though. This new one came from today, voila. Comments on the old one: I want to point out lots of the bad parts of the old one. To start with, the apple shape isn't very round, which makes it a little hard to tell it's an apple. It also has a green stem, and most apples have brown stems, as far as I can tell. The shading was also pathetic. I realize it's hard to shade traditionally when you don't have fancy tools, but I could've done heavier to lighter pressure on the pencil. Younger me probably didn't know this, put the shading kind of needs to be consistent. I'm not really sure where the light is coming from on this piece. Comments on the new one: Obviously, this is a lot better. The stem is brown, lighting and shading is proper, it's rounder, and it's got a shadow. I definitely struggled with the shape of this because when blending went off track, I erased it to keep the nice-looking stuff. The stem also seems a bit small, proportionally. I think this is pretty good, and keep in mind the quality is compromised because of SBE. Credits: Art: me Writing: me Art program: Kleki
