Hi everyone!! Here's my entry for the character Stealth Clown in @casterli's 1k dta!! @casterli, congrats on 1000 followers!! All your designs are so creative and diverse, and your art is amazing!! I decided to enter for Stealth Clown, as I absolutely adore his design and can see myself drawing and developing him heaps! I ended up creating a story around him, so if I do win then I'll try and develop it a bit more, and create personalities and characters for all the new people he meets at "Clown Uni" -- -- -- ✩ INSTRUCTIONS ✩ Use arrow keys, click or space to advance Click sketches and tap to go through the doodles and press x to close (press a to hide sketches button) -- -- -- Art pieces: 1. At Clown Uni, Charlie meets a wide range of interesting people, who over time he considers to think of as his closest friends. ☞ Backstory: Charlie will never forget the first time he went to the carnival. He was 7 years old, and had begged his parents for weeks to allow him to go. The posters all around his neighborhood declared that "everyone loves the greatest show on earth!" and each night he could hear the faint cheers of delight coming from the carnival from his bedroom window. Though, he never really expected to go. His parents never let him visit birthday parties, and expected him to be a sensible young man. That's why it was such a shock when Charlie's mother had informed him over dinner that they were going to visit the following morning. Charlie was so caught up in his pure happiness about this that he didn't hear a word of his mother's explanation, and instead spent the rest of the night dreaming about his day at the circus. The carnival was everything Charlie has expected, and more. The stalls selling fairy floss which he was finally allowed to taste, the Ferris wheel that lifted him up so high it felt like he was flying, the games and stalls and people, it all felt like he was living a dream. He even managed to win one of the carnival games, and despite his parent's protests, picked a live frog as a prize, which he named "Albert". But, his favorite out of all that happened that day was the circus. The acrobats soaring above his head, the ringleader booming, the animals acting as if they were humans, and the clowns!! The clowns were something else entirely to Charlie. He adored the way they performed, and made the whole crowd cry with laughter. And at the end of the day when Charlie was dragged home, he knew what he wanted to be. "What are you talking about, Charles? Of course you can't be a clown when you grow up!!" His parents probably though it was just a phase, but Charlie continued wanting to be a clown throughout the rest of his school years. Of course, his parents had no idea of this, and thought he'd completely forgotten about the whole thing - they would lose it if their 15 year old son told them he wanted to be a clown! Yet when Charlie turned 17, instead of enrolling in business at university like he told his parents, Charlie enrolled at "Clown Uni", a new, fairly small course that taught how to be a clown, and work at the circus in general. He doesn't like keeping the secret from his parents, yet, he knows that there is no chance his parents will let him become a professional clown, so continues to keep being a "stealth clown". ☞ Music: the song used is Looking Out for You by Joy again. I chose this song because although I haven't added a love interest into his story, I feel like it describes how he would be if he did like someone (also legit 90% of the music I listen to are love songs). It also just seems like something he's listen to. Other songs I think he'd listen to (based off my music preferences) include Mr Blue Sky, Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy, a bunch of Dayglow songs and Where'd all the time Go. ☞ Notes: - Albert stays in either his beanie or a brown satchel - Charlie never really swears, it makes him pretty uncomfortable - he really likes cheese, for some reason -- -- -- That's about it! Thanks for scrolling through all that text, and looking at my art!! -- -- -- -- ✩ CREDITS ✩ art: me (original ref by ) music: looking out for you - joy again
