Hey everyone <3 ------------------------------ Today I want to show you a little something to be aware of (We will not be going against anyone or talking bad about anyone or anything like that, just informative). Right now, @petalssilversteam (me), @nednilclan, @glados10 and @cara_chan are dealing with someone pretending to be one of them. Today, I wanted to give you all some advice on how to spot this kind of stuff so that we can keep the Scratch community a safe and trustworthy environment for everyone (This is not about recolors or tracing!! Those are allowed on Scratch with Credit)! So I thought that this would be a good time to make people aware of what to look for, because we don't talk about it very often and it's so easy to fall for. So here are some tips to help you not get tricked: 1) Be Skeptical It's okay to be sus of someone! Just don't be throwing out accusations or anything. If you need to take action, get the Scratch Team involved <3 It's their job <3 2) Trust your memory If you see something and feel like it's familiar and you've seen it somewhere else, do a little digging! You could really help the community if you do <33 3) Know the rules! Don't report anyone unless they have broken a rule and you have evidence. Don't accuse people, just report <3 4) Not sure? Ask! Ask a friend or a Scratch Team member to help you out if you're confused, that's what they are there for <3 5) Report If you find real evidence, report it! This is so important! ------------------------------ So hopefully, none of you will have to deal with what Im handling right now ^^;; We're currently talking through it on my profile with the person, so hopefully this is'll all get settled soon.
