Heya, reader! Welcome to my workshop ^^ [ Space/keys/tap to move to move through slides! ] I hope you enjoy this! It's a walkthrough of a sort of merging descriptive + narrative writing into actual storywriting. Pretty basic (or is it?) concept - if you have any questions, feel free to ask ^^ The entire thing is rather long, so bear with me, hehe. The quality is pretty awful (apologies about that!), but hopefully still mostly readable ^^' - - - THE DAILY ACTIVITY (JULY 21): Take a character from the story you’re working on at the moment (or a story that you’re planning!). Write a 200-word description-focused piece, about anything you like, from your character's perspective. Are they strolling through a garden, or skyrocketing to the moon? Remember to mention details; the sights, smells, feelings. Then, write a 200-word narration-focused piece. Take that same setting (the garden? outer space?), and weave your character through a story with plot. There are no real guidelines, something just has to happen. Now, try to combine description and narration together, in another 200-word piece! What happens when your character is going through the story, with all those emotions and details? This would tally up to 600 words, and you get 900 points. Although if you share your writing, you get an additional 300 points! Good luck! ;D - - - Links mentioned in the project: - https://www.skillshare.com/blog/5-examples-of-narrative-writing/ - https://www.literacyideas.com/narratives/ - - - Credits: - Music | "Dreams in summer night" by IU - Thumbnail & backgrounds | created by me on Canva.com - @-ChocoLoco- for organizing the SWC workshop section this month.
