HELLO YOU WONDERFUL CAMPERS <33 For today's daily, we have word wars! Now, just a quick reminder that, while today is purely focused on word wars, this fun, point-earning activity will continue throughout the whole month. ➵ ──── ⋆ What are word wars? Word wars are similar to a writing sprint (if you know what a word sprint is and not a word war x'D)! You challenge someone else, in a different cabin to your own, to a writing sprint. You decide how long to go for, and then you both try to write as many words in that time period as you can! If you write more words than your opponent, then you earn 100 points for your cabin! The words you write during word wars also count towards your word count :) ➵ ──── ⋆ How do you do them? Comment down below 'I'm looking to do a word war!' along with your WPM and cabin. When somebody responds to you, with their WPM and cabin, you can decide how long you're going to war for, and then off you go! Most people usually go for 1-5 minutes, but feel free to choose any number, so long as you both agree! The winner will earn the 100 points, and that person will not be able to war for points again until the next day. (You don't have to wait a whole 24 hours, say do you a word war at 3pm, and then tmr you do a word war at 9am- that's all good ^^). The person who wrote fewer words and earned no points, however, will still be able to try to earn points and continue warring other people. ➵ ──── ⋆ You aren't allowed to just write 'a a a a' for the duration of the war - you have to put some thought into your writing. Even if it's as bland as 'The cat sat on the mat. It yawned. It then got off the mat.' it still counts as valid writing, as you would have had to have put at least some thought into it. ➵ ──── ⋆ You CAN war allies for points! In the past, you've only been able to war them for fun, but we're keeping this change from last session. You get to earn points no matter who you war. Unless if it's someone from your own cabin- that's only for fun :P ➵ ──── ⋆ It is your responsibility to comment in the main cabin claiming your 100 points! Leaders aren't going to be checking the comments to see who won which wars! I think that's it for explaining rules! Get warring!
