Chapter 1: Sloops in the wild Not a lot of people know of the sloop, a kind (but mischievous), adorable creature. alot a the time, they are mistaken for axolotls and thrown into any water nearby. which honestly doesn't upset them! but, you might be looking at the picture of them and thinking: "but- they look just like axolotls!" but, the only similarity between them, and axolotls is... they look almost identical. Sloops (along with sqoosh's) enjoy traveling in large groups called flops. these groups go from 100 sloops to millions. when a sloop gets seperated from a flop, about 50 of the sloops will search for 2 weeks until found. if not found, they search 2 more weeks before giving up project. sloops have been around for about 50,000 years..and barely anyone noticed!! flops of sloops will stay by areas where not many people travel, with a pond, or just another body of water* (* at the end of a sentence = back to that later * at the start of a sentence = were back to that!). on the occasion that people spot a flop in a public area, usually they migrate towards a smaller flop. *The reason they stay by water is to swim and fish, at 1 pm to 4 pm(*). fishing is very rare, and usually only to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions. whenever they fish, their preference is sardines or salmon. usually they enjoy eating cantaloupe, other fruits, and cucumber. *Why only 1 to 4 pm? because the sun hits the water at just the right angle which allows them to sun bask in the water. they enjoy sun basking because it keeps them warm, as they are constantly traveling* which causes them to produce slime (basically sweat) that is very cold. *most of them (other than sqoosh's) travel at least once a day to gather food, even on fishing days as they do have a feast. another reason they travel is to find a new body of water to migrate to. the last reason is to migrate, which would mean traveling only once a day, no exceptions (even sqoosh's have to migrate!). Sloops also have a few allies; including: racoons, ducks, deer's, and any bugs. predator's include: wolfs, cats, and foxes. Mating calls* of sloops are considered annoying in the human world, but when a sloop hears it... they find their partner. Sloops, unlike many creatures, stay with their partner for life. *Mating calls sound like a small penguin chick chirping, and slightly like a frog ribbiting. Sloops care about their flop (partners and sqoosh's included) more then anything. (even cantaloupe) Sloop eggs are laid everyday, and because eggs hatch the next day, the flops grow a large amount. Chapter 2: Sloops in captivity Because the sloop is so kind and adorable, a few people are starting to advertise them as "pets", and a bet you want a pet sloop to! but you can't... because you have to have more then one! usually it's recommended to get 3, or more. but, if you want, you can only get 2, 1 male, 1 female. to prepare for your sloops, you will need to place a blanket on the floor, as they cant go in a cage, always free roam. On the blanket you must place a large aquarium and put sardines in. next attach a ladder to the aquarium so the sloops and swim and fish. next place a few blankets on top of the blanket, allowing the to sleep. add a tall but large rock to, with a basking light, so they can bask. and finally, get a tupperware container and add cantaloupe, any other fruits, and one slice of cucumber. now that you've prepared, where do you get your sloop? well, currently a shop will be opening called "Flop land" where you'll be able to get a few sloops.
OKAY! OKAY! OKAY! my comic is about the life of sloops, their allies, and predators
