Points are earned by navigating through pipes. A white box means you have not yet bought the customization. A gray box means that it is currently equipped, and a teal box means you own that customization but it is not currently equipped. Hats: Some hats are for style, others have some special effects. The extra lives hat can be bought for 50 points, though its effects are temporary. This hat's effects allows you to continuously play the game 3 times without having your score rest to zero. Your hat will still appear on your bird, but its effects are erased until you buy it again. If you buy this hat and then equip another one, the effects are also erased.
