hey, guys. if you didn't know, I've been on Scratch for almost 2 years. my old account was also an art account. on it, I posted traditional art; sketches that I'd done and was proud of, and I think it was good art. I got almost 200 followers on that account. but I deleted it for this reason: people started unfollowing me. not just because they didn't like my content, but because my content wasn't the new idea of art on Scratch. suddenly, all your art had to be digital, with memes and contests tied on to it. if you didn't meet that, you didn't get views, followers, or likes. I stayed off of Scratch for a while after that because I liked making traditional art and I didn't want it to be judged with followers. and now I'm back, and Scratch is the same as it was 5 months ago. you still have to make digital art, memes, and contests to get followers. I rejoined Scratch because I decided I was gonna try again. To try digital art, and maybe even score a few followers that I'd lost on my last account. now I see that nothing's changed. my digital art isn't that great because I have to do it on a computer. I don't know the first thing about making a meme. my followers went up at first, and then they went down and stayed there. so, I'm considering quitting scratch for good. I've had some proud moments, but more often than not, I've been cast down because I don't meet the new art expectations. I'll stay for a bit longer to see if this changes the way people view me, but if it doesn't, I'm leaving. I'm not saying that digital art is bad. I'm saying that other types of art shouldn't have to be digital, and the people who do traditional art should be respected and valued for it. you won't be able to find my old account; I deleted it long ago. the projects, the studios, everything. this is your last warning, Scratch.
