wheeze I haven't been uploading sorry plus this one is short Another set of doors slowly, dramatically opened and High Queen Altaria stepped out, her opal crown and her garnet accessories gleaming against her uniquely royal purple scales. She smiled as all of the dragans bowed to her, in the same wings draping the ground way the Ladies had. She took her place at a golden throne, imbedded with opals and the gems of each of the tribes. She waited until every dragan had quieted, and the murmurings had subsided to speak. She opened her mouth, winced and tapped her head, and continued. Sun looked at her, puzzled, as the Queen continued. “Tomorrow,” she announced in the melodic, captivating voice all SongWings had, “You will be entering the opportunity of a lifetime. The Trials of Ascension. You, first, will need sponsors. As you already know, they can send you items in times of need, such as medicine, food, or even weapons.” As she spoke, a holographic screen popped up and displayed the items as she named them. “So, let the preparations begin! As you sleep tonight, the many helpful hands in this wonderful place,” she gestured at a large clump of dragans, including the feathered MythWing, “will be working on decorating and preparing the palace for the Sponsor Ceremony! And,” she said with a wink, “they’ll be getting you ready in the morning.” She stood up abruptly and left the room the way she had come, with a few more head raps. Lady Orca stood up. “Well,” she chirped, clasping her hands together, “you will now eat a wonderful meal and go back to your room. You need to be fresh for the Sponsor Ceremony!” She sat back down as a parade of servants began streaming out of a doorway that presumably led to the kitchen, holding silver plates and platters. When placed on the tables, the platters revealed delicacies from all around the continent, including rare fish, exotic fruits, and more! After an hour of feasting and having fun, the draganets slowly made their way back to their room, with the help of the map. At first glance, the map seemed like scribbles, but with a closer look, you could see paths and rooms. After a dizzying period of staring at the map, the pack of young draganets found their way back to their room. Sun had to fly over the pack of tired dragans in order to get to the back of the room. After a chaotic ten minutes of Avalanche blowing her horn, draganets stepping on each other in a sleepy daze, and one unfortunate misstep where Pine was very nearly laid on by another IceWing, whose name was Whiteout, the lights were turned out, until Pacific lit up her bioluminescent stripes to hang up the map. There was grumbling throughout the room until Pacific stopped the glowing. Avalanche busted the doors open seconds after Pacific went back into her pool. She humphed, stared at the draganets, and closed the door again. Sun fell into an almost immediate dreamless sleep.
