A loud boom, almost like the sound of a drum, echoed across the landscape, originating from one of the mountain peaks nearby. Followed by a loud, but brief, clicking sound. Tarren looked up from the 4 by 4 he was cutting, pushing his goggles up as he looked towards the horizon. "Huh.. odd." Avis, who was sitting near him, perked up, "What?" she inquired. The young man shook his head, "Thought I heard something.." the brunette explained. The purple haired girl scoffed and looked back down at her project that she was working on. Maeve was in the middle of sharpening a short sword when she heard the familiar noise, one of her mechanical ears pointing towards the direction. She said nothing as she dropped the sword and ran out of the shop. The rift had opened, Ventachor, Shadelock, and Umbran quietly entered the new land, looking around as the rift closed behind them. Ventachor spoke, "Hmm... we have arrived. Umbran, you will go West, take control of that peak. Shadelock, you will go East and take control of that one. I will take care of this one." The Clockworks nodded to each other, each dashing off to do their job and Ventachor slowly walked down the path. Lousia was making one of her coffees when she noticed a glass of water shake on the counter. The sheep girl tilted her head, then looked out the window, seeing Maeve run by. "Huh?" Jacy, who was sitting down enjoying some tea, perked up as well. The noise also didn't go unnoticed by Syrus. The pale skinned young woman grabbed one of her weapons, one that lined a wall, then she headed outside. Ventachor strode confidently down the path to a tall rock near the top of the peak and took out a small cylinder, striking it into the rock and fiddling with it. After a few moments, a rift opened up in the air above the point and two Autonmites came down a rope. "This where you want the tower Ventachor?" He nodded to her, "Yes, thank you. You should shortly receive signals from the other two, keep an eye out for them." The Autonmite in question nodded her head and both of them climbed back up before bringing down a crew with them as they began assembling the watchtower. Maeve seemed to run out to town square just as Syrus did, the both of them nodding towards each other. Before long, Tarren and Avis ran up to join them. "Yo, Syrus. What's going on? What was the noise?" The brunette man asked her, his paint-stained hands on his hips. Syrus shook her head before she looked at Maeve, who lowered her head. "We're not sure." The pale skinned girl answered.
