you know, this situation is the equivalent of that one upgrade wait go back meme idk how coherent this is gonna be, i just need to be mad for a second first, the opening paragraph of the community post. it’s fine, basically saying how st wants to keep the “aesthetic” of scratch the same throughout the whole website. not a bad thing in itself. okay. fine. i personally don’t like it, but maybe that’s just my nostalgia speaking. next paragraph, pretty harmless, just st flaunting something that was already a feature. next we move on to…sweet baby Jesus so…st decided…to make managers…kinda useless? okay i have quite a few problems with this. due to the vandalizing of studios by managers, st made so that only the original founder of the studio can edit the title, thumbnail, and description of the studio, the last of them also to stop manager chats. for the love of- okay, so as you may or may not know, i’m in a bandori studio, specifically the 1, 2 bandori fanclub. we’re a rather humble group, and we, the managers and curators, put in our load to make the studio a comfortable and enjoyable place ***not sponsored part of this includes putting qotw’s, editing the thumbnail, and putting in news regarding upcoming songs and events. by including this update you 1) shift all this work to one person or 2) remove that sense of community the group had, even if not completely. and guess what? thanks to that founder rule, studio changes are less likely to happen in the fanclub due to the og founder moving accounts, and may or may not want to log back it to that one. it’s stupid. just gonna put it bluntly. i know, i can really only speak for myself, and i know, not all studios function this way. but we’re certainly not the only group who runs studios in a collaborative fashion. the next paragraph discussed other changes made to the studio including limiting the amount of studio managers to 40 “to limit the number of people who can make major changes to your studio” BUTYOUJUSTMADEITSOTHATONLYTHEFOUNDERCANMAKEMAJORCHANGESTOTHESTUDIOSOWHATWOULDBETHEPOINTOFPUTTINGTHATTHERE as well as to prevent spam and make managers use their brain when it comes to promoting others. at this point managers should just be called glorified curators then they made it so new scratchers can’t make studios. maybe this is a nitpick, but if i want to create an account solely for the purpose of making aesthetics, and i wanted to make a studio aesthetic, i’d have to wait two weeks. something about that just rubs me the wrong way, but again, probably a nitpick. this last bit just— HOO — set my soul on fire, and made me want to write this. scratch made it so that studio comments have a limit of 25 replies. now…i don’t know about you, but i was pretty big on roleplaying in my previous scratch days. loved me some of that poths, oh is that a warriors rp you’ve got there? well, sign me up sir! but now…i guess rip roleplay studios. sure, i mean i *guess* they can still work? but having that one big chain helped keep the studio feel clean. it also just feels kinda satisfying to go back and scroll through, seeing your replies as you wait for your partner to respond. but this…let me put this bluntly, again, i hate this. at this point, scratch doesn’t seem to care how people react to their decions anymore, they just go along and do whatever the heck they want. and at this point… i’m done. this website…like seriously, i’m at my limit. and the sad thing is… i don’t even know what to do anymore. i just don’t. i think i honestly just have to suck it up at this point. i used to really like this sight. now i just feel that i’m to tolerating it more than anything. and i know i’m making this about myself now, but honest to God, i’m just frustrated and tired. so, so tired. but hey, what can be done! tune in next time to chi-chi gets mad at the slightest things where the titular character complains about more problems scratch will never fix! thanks for watching, and make sure to hit that subscribe button! scratch team really pulling a nintendo and doing the most anti-consumer friendly practices out there i’m only staying on this website cause there’s no where else to go. that’s what i have to keep telling myself.
