By popular demand, here's a sample of the Mission: TAC-VAR sequel I was working on! Click to choose your weapon, arrows/WASD to move, click and hold to shoot. Survive as long as you can!
Music is "Three" and "Win" from Disasterpeace's album Levels. All art, coding and sound by yours truly. Fullscreen recommended. (Scroll down for some extra comments!) Like I said in my update project, this is all I have for this game. There's only 3 weapons rather than 5 or so, no weapon-switching, and only one big wave of enemies. But hopefully you can see what sort of game it would have been! It would have been fun to add more enemy types, waves, etc., and make the swappable weapons even more distinct from one another, but the result would still have been a pretty standard top-down shooter. So, I'm not too sad about leaving it unfinished. (Also OBVIOUSLY it would need more polish. This is still very much in alpha rather than beta, as I normally finish nearly everything else before I finish the visuals. I added a few particle effects here and there to make the demo look nicer, but there would still be a lot to do if I was trying to make this a finished game.)
