Characters: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Linda: #1: Feels numb, maybe scared of someone or something. #2: A very quiet person, knows a lot more than she’s letting on. #3: Guilty of something, a crime? #4: The type of person who freezes during the flight or fight reaction. #5: Very paranoid, scared of everyone. #6: Lies so often she’s almost forgotten the truth. #7: Abandons her group of friends often, so often that they wouldn’t know if she was a criminal. #8: Lives two or more different lives, pretending to be slightly different people. #9: Listens to her instincts instead of trusting anyone else. #10: Independent to the point that she’d sacrifice her friends without a second thought. Summary: She’s lied so often she’s almost forgotten the truth, not knowing who she really is, or was, anymore. She’s very paranoid because of something that happened in the past, a crime she’s committed. She feels the guilt of this, but doesn’t tell anyone, just feels numb and fearful all the time. It’s been so long she doesn’t know who she was before the crime. She freezes up when confronted, listening to her instincts rather than trusting anyone. She would sacrifice her friends without a second thought, barely establishing a connection with them since she abandons them so often, leaving them just as they need her. She’s very quiet and no one would really defend her if she needed them. She’s independent and never relies on anyone but herself, throwing them under the bus if it’s more convenient for her. Can be a bit vengeful, never forgetting when someone wrongs her. Fear: Claustrophobia(fear of having no escape) Jessie: : A tough person. : Can adapt quickly to other conditions. : Good around people and large conferences, widely liked in this kind of situation. : A leader. : The type of person who could help anyone rise to power, or take anyone down. : Usually works behind the scenes, though makes some appearances to make speeches and stuff. : Patient : Can get overwhelmed or even violent when overstimulated. : Some people are suspicious of her, but she can often get them out of the way one way or the other. : Can distract someone from the question they were meaning to ask. Summary: A very tough person who can adapt quickly to nearly every situation. She’s widely trusted, though she is definitely not trustworthy. Good around a lot of people, such as during conferences where she is widely liked and listened to. She can make or break anyone, control everything from behind the scenes. She can ruin anyone’s career and often resorts to this as blackmail. She’s also very patient, willing to wait for years to put her plans in motion. She can get violent when too much is happening at once, preferring to focus on one thing at a time, putting her plans into action slowly and surely. Even when people are suspicious of her, she finds ways to get rid of them, through bribing, blackmailing, or worse. She has the ability to deflect questions and is a very secretive person because of this. A leader, but puts others into positions of power. Fear: Autophobia(fear of being alone.) Plot: ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Prompt: “The text message simply said 'very clever'” Summary: Linda has been on the run from her past ever since the incident…but some people haven’t stopped looking for her. Jessie has quickly taken over the entire government without anyone knowing, and now she has to take out the people who might betray her in the future. When Linda gets a mysterious text, she knows they’re coming for her too, and before long, Jessie and the entire military force find her. With Linda afraid of her secrets being revealed, and scared to realize just how false everything about herself is, and with Jessie scared to get rid of Linda, which would leave her alone again, each know they have to overcome their fear if they want to get anywhere. Setting: “Jade Oolong Milk Cap Tea” “Softly sweet flavor, green-floral aroma Oolong tea with organic creamy milk cap.” The story takes place in the street directly outside Linda’s house. The entire street is well maintained, no weeds, not a single leaf out of place. At present, winter has fallen on the neighborhood, snow coating the ground and making it difficult to run. All the snow is fluffy, almost fluffier than it should be. Toward the beginning of spring, when the snow melts, small flowers fill the grass, and it takes a while before they can be uprooted, which is a beautiful and long awaited sight for some of the neighbors, while others call it a nuisance. Linda's house is painted the same grayish color as the other houses, with bricks along some of the walls and a medium sized porch. Inside it’s very simplistic with nothing to give away that someone actually lives there. (cont.)
