“You're too impulsive!” Eddie cried. “We need a plan! We can’t just go and walk straight into the nether!” “I know.” Eragon said, running forward. “I said, we need a plan!” Eddie called, dragging Eragon back. “But I have a plan!” Ergon complained. “Then what is it?” Eddie asked, staring straight into his eyes. “I’m going to light up the nether portal, and go in. Then I can get you your birthday present.” Eragon told her. “Do you have the fire?” Eddie asked. “No,” Eragon admitted. “Here.” Eddie handed him a small ball of fire. “Thanks.” Eragon said slowly. “Now can I go?” “Yes, but be careful.” Eddie sighed. Eragon jumped up, then ran to the portal ahead. He looked back at her, “Stay here,” he said gently. Eddie smiled then sat down on the grass. She waited for a few minutes, then Eragon came back, holding a book about telepathic conversations. “Thank you!” Eddie cried, opening the book. She started reading the chapter book, and in 2 minutes, she was done with it. “Wow, you are a fast reader.” Eragon complemented when Eddie finished the book. “Thanks,” Eddie said, standing up. Sadie appeared, smiling at the two, with a turtle in her arms. “Happy 13th birthday, Eddie.” She said, handing her the turtle. “Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!” Eddie squealed with delight. “What are you going to name it?” Sadie asked. “Soco.” Eddie said, hugging the turtle. “Nice. Annie also has a turtle, also. His name is Fitz. Oh, and she wants to talk to you.” Sadie said. “Okay. Bye Eragon, Sadie.” Eddie said, smiling, then ran off to Annie.
