Ok. I have a bone to pick. WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THIS? The new studio update that's what. I don't like it. Maybe that's unfounded because it came out today. Maybe I'm just used to the old one. But hear me out. Big Problems with the new one: 1. They got rid of the invite followers pull up tab. Good bye inviting followers to your new studio. Now you have to know them by name. I'm serious. When making a new studio that you want to invite your followers to who goes and tracks down each follower to copy and paste there name one at a time to invite them instead of using that tab? 2. Managers can no longer edit the studio description. Only the creator of the studio can. What would you do if you are a manager for a rp or something like that and the studio creator isn't there? Or worse, Banned? What do you do then? Your pretty much just a curator with status now I guess. 3. We are a community. Yes most of us are kids, but kids are smart. You should not of surprised us with this. You should of told us what you were planning and allowed the community of people who would be most affected to have their input. You should of asked us what we need and wanted in a studio update. because we might know better than you, scratch team. I have a lot more to say but I'm trying to get this out fast. So this is Petition Ctrl Z. Undo the studio update. Idk if this will ever reach the scratch team, but if you agree with me and have more to add: Remix. Remix to sign this petition. Tell on that remix what you think of the update. Share your thoughts. Please. #fixstudios2021
@-joelle here! I've got something to say about this update. Roleplayers. Yes, Roleplayers are on Scratch! That's what a lot of us do. In order to roleplay, we all go into studios, and reply to comments. They added the new comment limit to 25. Like- do you know how ANNOYING and USELESS that is?! We love doing what we do! it's so much fun. And sometimes ( most of the time ), they get way past 25 comments. They can get to 100, or 200, sometimes even 2,000 ( Shout out to , the only person I've met on Scratch with a rp of 2,000 and higher! ). It is so annoying to, every time we reach the limit, NOTIFY the person ( people ) we're roleplaying with, and then have to start a COMPLETELY new one. There are a couple of problems with this. 1. Sometimes, they don't get the notifications. 2. It makes the studios unorganized. Now, every role play studio, all you can see is: Continued RP With, or, CCRP w/, or something like that. We heads of the Roleplay studio can't accept forms, or answer questions when it's crowded with THAT many continued role plays. 3. It's annoying, man! It's so annoying to have to start a new roleplay. Every. 25. Comments. This is not okay! One of my best friends, , said something that caught my attention about Roleplays: ">:0 Roleplay studios have basically been attacked!" Literally. I know ST is trying to make it look more modern ( 0_o ) or whatever, but honestly, this new studio update is literally making us rip out the hair on our heads, or bang our hands on the keyboard. Having to invite followers by name?! Nuh-uh. I am not doing that. We roleplayers want studios to be active! We want to invite our followers ( and not just for role play studios- normal studios in general )! Nobody is gonna spend a whole day inviting followers by name. Especially the scratchers with a llaaaataaa followers. And I mean a LOT. Typing 10 names is bad enough. Can you imagine popular Scratchers like or who have to invite their followers by name?? They both have over 2,000 Followers, and are constantly getting new ones each day! This is unacceptable ( Lemongrab Referance B) ).
