NO WAY I JUST GOT A GOLDEN BUZZER! hello! here is my audition for season 5 of sgt! this is my first time ever entering this competition and i am very excited to share my project! sorry this was so close to the deadline! i totally could not decide what i wanted to do or sing or anything so this was what i came up with! this song is same boat by lizzy mcalpine and i chose to sing this song because it is a really nice song that i have been listening to a lot lately. it was stuck in my head one day so i started trying to play the tune on the piano and i ended up making a recording. i didn't use any sheet music, the piano was all played by ear. the only help that i got with the piano part was i looked at which key it was in so i could get it as close to the original song as possible :) i recorded the singing separately than the piano and that was the part that took the longest since it was hard to find a recording that didn't have a load of mistakes in it! this was the best i could do, but it still isn't perfect! the 'ooo's in the middle of the song were another recording added on after and made to sound airy and quieter than the rest of the song with the reverb effect in soundtrap. the entire song was recorded in the voice memos app on my iphone then layered together in the soundtrap website! i didnt use any autotune or any filters on the singing or piano except for the reverb on the 'ooo's the high parts in this song were very difficult! the thumbnail photo is from unsplash.com and the font and the rest of the image was made in canva! credits: all singing - me all piano - me thumbnail - me
