“Do you even have shoes?” Annie asked, leaning against a tree. “Um, no.” Eddie said, laughing as she walked across the field with her hair blowing in the wind. Annie smiled, then held up a pair of leather-strap sandals. Eddie took them and slipped them on. “Thanks, and happy birthday.” She said when she was done putting them on. “Your welcome, and happy birthday too.” Annie said as Fitz climbed onto her head. Annie stood and Fitz clinged to her head to stay on. Soco also climbed onto Eddie’s head, which made Eddie feel ridiculous. “I’m going to go.” Eddie said. “Mmm-k” Annie said, taking Fitz off her head and walking into the forest. Eddie went off into the mountains, planning on exploring there. But the second Eddie got up there, chains were thrown around her, knocking her unconscious. All she felt was pain. /Am I going to die like this?/ Eddie wondered bitterly.
