TW: Fire, gore. - Design by @Forgetfulfruit, slightly altered by me to fit my style and world. - 1 - Ref sheet 2 - Nightmare 3 - doodle of Harley and Scarlet. (Scarlet belongs to and was designed by me) - Harley looked at her bracelet, smiling. This was enchanted five thousand years ago, and she had stolen it. It was hers now, and she wasn't going to let its magic go to waste, like those crumbly old professors had. She admired the grey metal and dark red heart-shaped ruby, and then smiled at the matching tail-ring she had made specifically for this occasion. She walked into Scarlet's room, her smile becoming a smirk. It wasn't fair that Scarlet had what she had always wanted, so she decided to take it. She looked at Scarlet and held out the bracelet. Just as she was about to tell his to put it on, he seemed to recognize it. He gasped and jumped back, and Harley noticed something small and shiny fell from his claws. Suddenly, Harley screamed. The smell of burning scales floated through the air as pink flames engulfed her face and she continued to scream. The pain was stronger then anything, and it felt worse then that one time she broke her leg. She was screaming so much she could barely breath. Scarlet stared at her, frozen in place. Panic was filling his eyes and his gaze shifted to his talons. A small, slightly melted gold ring lay on the ground, next to Harley's enchanted bracelet. "Help!", Harley screeched, clutching her face. Scarlet snapped out of the shock and rushed to her side. "I'm sorry!", he cried, touching her face. He closed his eyes tightly and more pink flames started to spread around Harley's face. These ones, however, were not painful. They were pleasantly cool, and soothed her pain. Soon, she didn't feel a thing. She sighed with relief. "Well, all's well that ends well, right?", she purred. She stood up and found that she couldn't put weight on her left talon. She tried several times to place it down, but it failed each time and she nearly fell. She looked down at it, but it looked fine. She scratched it a bit with her other talon, but felt nothing. She furrowed her brow, but shook her wings and decided she would deal with it. She deserved /some/ consequences after what she had tried to do to Scarlet. After all, stealing someone's magic /was/ a crime punishable by death. She, remembering Scarlet was still there, looked up to meet his gaze, and snorted when she saw he still looked panicked. "It's just a little numb," she purred. "I'll be okay.", but Scarlet payed no attention to her words, and kept staring at her face. Scarlet furrowed her brow again and turned around to look in a nearby mirror. What she saw made her throat close up and her tail scrape the floor. She limped closer, hoping it was just her bad eye playing tricks on her, but as she neared the mirror it only looked worse. Tears streamed from her eyes - no, her eye, as she realized half of her face had been burned away, and the skull was exposed. She had to clutch at Scarlet's bedframe to keep from falling over. /My face.../, she thought. /My beautiful face... It's ruined... and it's all Scarlet's fault./ She whipped around so fast she nearly fainted again. "YOU!", She cried. Scarlet had started crying, and was desperately trying to fit the melted ring back on his talon. "YOU DESTROYED MY FACE!" - Feel free to ask questions about the story and/or world!
