I've been wanting to talk about it, but I wasn't ready yet. I watched Mattpat's (MatPat? DadPat.) fnaf video, and then really thought about what I thought. My kneejerk reaction is to hate on the update, and hate on the Scratch team, but I've thought about it, and I don't think I want to blame the Scratch Team. They were trying to make a good update. They intended for it to be good. I know that the Scratch Team are good people that care about the community. They're trying their best. They didn't mean to damage others with the new look. They didn't intend for all this to go poorly. I trust that they thought that it was what was best, and even though it wasn't, I'm sure they thought about the community. I don't want to give them a pass on everything though. They knew roleplays would suffer from the reply limit. They didn't have to put it in place for technical reasons most likely, as the other places on Scratch do not have a limit. They knew that there were communities relying on managers that weren't the studio owners. Again, they knew about the dependent on every manager roleplays. Even if they disregarded those, it would have been better if there's still a way for the owner to promote managers to pseudo-owner status, but still not being able to promote anyone else. I believe that ST was trying to make the right call here, but what I don't like the fact that they're brushing it all off like there's nothing wrong, when there is. They've made a mistake with this update. It's not what the community wanted. But instead of hating on them, I want to work with them to make it better. This is just my opinion. You can make your own call. This is just my belief. I ask you not to get mad at my opinion in the comments, but I will be happy to discuss my opinion mundanely with you.
