~~~ Chapter 15 : I’m onto You When Thursday morning rolled around, Meg was still asleep while Lightning was wide away in her pajamas, trying to think of how she could help Ace. Poor thing was so worried about him that she couldn’t sleep and decided to stay up thinking of ways to stop Myla and expose the truth about her. “ Tomorrow is the Gala....... and I’m singing my song......... that’s it! My song tells how I feel about Ace deep down. Maybe...... if I sing my heart out at the gala, it’ll break the spell and free Ace. “ Lightning thought to herself with a bit of confidence in her plan. “ That is........ if Ace has feelings for me.......... if he does- it’ll work- but if not- I’ll have to do a plan B.......... wait- didn’t Ace say he liked Myla?.......... so how could MY love song work?? UGH! Feeling a bit sad that Meg didn’t trust her instincts on Ace, Lightning grabbed her backpack after she finished getting dressed, not bothering to say another word about the subject and walking out of the dorm. Meg sighed when Lightning didn’t respond to her and followed her out of the dorm all dressed as well. While in the cafeteria and eating the breakfast on her tray, Lightning peered over at Ace sitting with Myla, trying to listen and watch their motives. She was determined to find proof that Myla was guilty. “ So wanna go to that Gala tomorrow?...... It could be just you and me. Plus- I have a new dress I wanna try out. “ Myla said. “ I was already planning to ask you to the gala after class, but...... you got to it before me hehehe....... point is- my answer is yes. Quickly grabbing her cup, Lightning stood up and scampered over to the counter, not far from Ace. Once close enough to the target, Lightning walked up to Ace and tapped his shoulder.
