..... The shadowy shape of a bulky cat was just visible in the darkness, its amber eyes glowing in the gloom. Another cat's eyes were visible: leaf-green, the face around them thinly outlined by the moon's glow, almost all of its light blocked out by closely intwined branches above the two cats. Their voices pierced the usual silence of the night; one was harsh, raw with hate, the other, a she-cat's voice, was pleading and overflowing with grief and sadness. "You- You said you loved me!" The she-cat wailed, her eyes closed as fat, salty tears fell down her face. The other, a big tom, hissed. "You don't love me. You still love Frecklefur." With his snarl, a third cat stepped forward, lithe, with ice-blue eyes. "Reedclaw, how could you do this to her? She's suffered enough." the cat mewed, his long tail lashing. The cat named Reedclaw unsheathed his claws. "Then let her suffer more. Frecklefur, you're the cause of this. You and Peachnose shouldn't have even met." he spat in reply, his voice dripping with envy. Frecklefur's voice raised to a yowl. "We used to be friends! We don't even meet each other anymore! Have her, see if I care!" The she-cat, Peachnose, flinched, her emerald gaze revealing her hurt, and under it, longing. Leaves crunched under Reedclaw's paws as he took a step towards Frecklefur. "Maybe we should just get rid of the problem altogether." He growled. "N-No!" Peachnose wailed. "You can't kill him, you monster!" Reedclaw's head whipped around to stare at her, his amber gaze fiery with hate and envy. "Would you care if you didn't love him? If he was just another RiverClan cat?" Peachnose's was trembling. "B-But he's not 'just another RiverClan cat.'" She protested. "He used to be your friend, Reedclaw." She mewed. Reedclaw hissed. "Would you rather me take one of your kits?" Peachnose and Frecklefur's eyes widened, a shared look of horror in their eyes. "Bring your kits in two sunrises to the Gathering island at moonhigh." He whipped around and stalked away. ..... bAHahAh a clifFhANgER what will happen next? will reedclaw take one of peachnose's kits? o-O ill make a second one lol also yes my writing is horrible shut
