~~~ Chapter 16 : Idea When breakfast in the cafeteria ended and class began, Lightning was very focused on finishing her vocal lessons within a timely fashion so she could get back to her dorm early and work on some ideas to help Ace. However, the biggest struggle during today’s class was not getting distracted by Ace’s vocal practice. Sometime Lightning would stop her warm ups for a moment to listen to that magical tone of his. He truly had a wonderful voice in her opinion. That was one of the many reasons why she loved him deep down. Once the clock struck 1pm, the bell rang and all the students left cause it was the end of class. Instead of saying hello to Meg right after class, the first thing did was head back upstairs to their dorm. Meg watched Lightning as she walked right by here, seeming deep in thought. “ What is she doing?..... “ Meg thought to herself, following Lightning up the staircase. Once in her dorm, Lightning grabbed her notebook and started writing it in while sitting on the corner of her bed. Continuously crossing out ideas that she knew would fail, soon she finally found the perfect plan. “ That might work....... “ Lightning said quietly to herself. “ What are you talking about, Lightning? “ Meg asked, walking into the dorm and shutting the door behind her. “ EH- oh uh- hi, Meg! You scared me..... “ Lightning said, laughing nervously, trying to cover her notes with her hands. “ Oh sorry- anyways I asked you a question..... “ Meg said suspiciously. “ Oh- what am I doing? I’m just writing song ideas..... I got inspired by today’s class. Speaking of class- how was your’s today? “ Lightning asked, trying to change the subject so Meg wouldn’t get curious. “ It was good! Hard- but good. heh “ Meg replied, completely forgetting about the fact that Lightning was writing down some things as she setting her backpack down in the corner of the room not too far from Lightning’s. “ So what did you want me to order for lunch? I decided I’ll pay. “ Meg said. “ Maybe some burgers and fries? “ Lightning suggested while writing. “ mmmm that sounds good meaning “ yummy “...... and it sounds “ good “ meaning “ okay “ with me! I’ll get my phone and order it from the closets fast food place. “ Meg replied, taking her cell phone out of her pant’s pocket. After ordering the food, Meg sat down on her bed to relax and daydream a bit while looking at the ceiling. Getting a bit tired and cramps in her hand from writing for an hour straight, Lightning closed her notebook and set it down on her nightstand, placing the pen she was using on top of it. “ Now my turn to ask you- how was YOUR day in class? “ Meg asked, looking over at her friend. “ It was good, eh-heh. “ Lightning replied with a small smile at her. “ Great! Heh, I’m excited for the gala tomorrow..... and I’m also excited for you to crush the performance you were assigned to do and get lots of extra credit for your grades. “ Meg explained with a happy hedgehog chirp. Lightning smiled warmly at her friend, feeling a bit more confident from Meg’s positive compliment. “ Thanks, Meg..... I really hope your right and I do get credit for my grades. “ Lightning replied. “ Oh I know I’m right- your amazing..... hehehehe “ Meg said, still smiling. “ I should go pick up the food- I’ll be back in a bit- “ Meg explained, standing up and grabbing her purse. “ okay! Cya “ Lightning replied, watching her friend leave the dorm. Once Meg left the dorm, Lightning suddenly got an idea and thought, “ Maybe I should add some earrings to my gala outfit....... I’ll just go over to those shopping backs and put some in there in a sandwich bag. “ . Going into her drawer, she grabbed some gold stud earrings and put them in a sandwich bag in one of the cabinets. Sighing happily, Lightning walked towards the closet to grab her shopping bag. She took a bag shopping bag out of the closet and opened it slowly......... Letting out a small scream. “ OH MY GOSH WHAT HAPPENED?! I GOTTA CALL MEG- “ Lightning yelled, trying not to get upset.
