~~~ Chapter 19 : In the Night Madness A small rumble came beneath the surface underneath the academy. It was almost like something was pushing along with Crystal magic. " ....... the power of song...... it's...... real..... " Crystal thought to herself, hearing a melody rising from underground. The musical melody coming from under the school woke up all the students and workers. They all started to head outside. " Everybody remain calm! We'll figure out what's causing the noise. " one of the principals announced to all the students who came outside in their pjs to figure out what all the noise was about. Meg and Lightning were outside as well, along with Ace and Myla. Construction workers were called to look outside the gates for the source of the sound because readings called it to be coming from under the school. Crystal quickly dashed out of the way and hid, so none of the students would see her. Crystal was just as curious as everyone else about the strange melody. " What do you mean the music is coming from under the ground? " one of the principals asked a construction worker. " We did the checks........ it's all true. Yet- there isn't any musical source down there...... that's the weird thing. " the guy replied. " What do you think caused all the noise? " Meg whispered to Lightning. " I have no clue..... " Lightning replied, yawning and stretching slightly. Suddenly the music beat stopped and everyone stopped talking when it was gone. Everyone was silent, feeling confused. " It must be the power of sound........ that's the only thing it could be......... what could've awoken it though?..... " Myla thought to herself. Ace glared over at Myla, seeing her look of deep thought. “ You okay?....... you see, to be thinking about something. “ Ace said. “ hm? oh! yeah- I’m fine, darling........... Just wondering what that strange noise was coming from. “ Myla replied, looking over at him. “ Yeah..... I get it. That’s what I’m thinking too. “ Ace said. While the two talked, a small glowing blue cat came out of the bushes and hid itself behind Lightning, turning invisible as well. " The cost is clear everyone! We apologize for the inconvenience. However- we have some news. No one could figure out the cause of the music........ so....... we’re sorry about that- I know you all were curious to know what it was. Yet- we have no clue. Back to bed and try to get some rest before the sun rises. " Cia announced to every one of the students. Walking back inside with the others by Meg's side, Lightning felt so tired, not even able to think straight. The blue cat followed Lightning and Meg while invisible still back inside, into the elevator and into their dorm. It smiled at Lightning, feeling a power inside of her heart...... not just any power though. It was a power of both love and music combine together, and the mysterious cat felt that within Lightning’s soul. However it wasn’t a magic power- more like a different kind of power called “ heart “ . Lightning sighed, " goodnight, Meg..... again. " Lightning said, climbing into her bed. " Night, Lightning........ sleep well........ " Meg replied, getting into her bed as well. After Meg closed her eyes, Lightning curled up in the covers as the blue cat hopped onto the bed with her, sitting down and resting as well. Lightning was so tired and because it was invisible she didn't even notice the cat, falling fast asleep after just a few moments of being in her soft bed again. ..........Maybe this cat that followed Lightning knew something important, and that's why it came to her. Only time would tell and show the answers to questions. “ How long “ was the true question though. It was only 3 in the morning on Friday, so the girls needed to rest. The cat took one last glance at Lightning with a smile on it's face still, before closing it's eyes and falling asleep soundly next to Lightning’s side. to be continued ~ ~~~ ( short chapter- sorry- for a reason xD ( and because I have low motivation rn- ) )
