Bats are mammals like us. Over 200 species of bats worldwide are endangered or threatened. Many bats hunt insects such as mosquitos that can carry dangerous diseases such as malaria, and thousands of plant species rely on bats for pollination or seed dispersal. If you see an injured bat, don't touch it. Instead contact a professional wildlife rehabilitator and they can help it.
