~~~ Chapter 20 : Hours Away About 4 hours later the sun had rose and inside Meg and Lightning's dorm, the girls had just awoken from their slumber. They were still a bit tired though, considering the " noise " that happened throughout the entire school at two in the morning. “ Welp...... today’s the day...... “ Lightning said, yawning and getting out of bed. “ The gala?..... or are you talking about something else? “ Meg asked, getting up as well. “ I’m talking about the gala tonight after today’s school...... “ Lightning answered as she stood up. Meg stood up as well and grabbed some clothes. “ That’s what I thought you were talking about....... but I wanted to make sure my prediction was correct. “ Meg replied, chuckling softly then she let out a small cute yawn. The blue cat opened her eyes, hearing Meg and Lightning’s voices that woke her up from her nap. She watched Lightning and Meg as they prepared their stuff for the last day of school before this year’s Academy Gala. Lightning decided to wear a casual light blue shirt, white denim shorts, some black sneakers and gold hoop earrings for school today. Meg wore a dark green blouse, black medium length skirt, some grey slip ons with lace, and a few gold earrings like Lightning but they were studs. “ Nice clothes, Meg. “ Lightning said with a smile as she put on her backpack. “ Thanks! You look nice too. “ Meg replied with a small smile as well. The two girls took hands and walked out of the dorm side by side to head to class that was starting in about fifteen minutes from now. “ I’ll tell her before the gala begins...... “ the cat thought to herself, watching as the dorm room shut, marking the moment she was all alone in the room for now. “ I’m going to the gala with my crush...... he asked me........ surprisingly. eh-heh. Are you going with anyone? “ Meg asked Lightning while walking down the halls. “ Um...... no........ I’m not going with anyone........ I..... thought you would be by my side....... “ Lightning replied. “ oh um...... I will be able to see you at the gala- but at times I wanna spend time with my date...... I hope you understand......” Meg said. “ Oh I get it! You have fun....... I’ll be okay. Besides- I have that perform to focus on. Lightning smiled and nodded before letting go of Meg’s hand and walking towards her class room. Meg glanced at Lightning one last time before heading into her classroom across the hall from Lightning’s. Hours later, around 4pm class finally ended. Class was longer than usual this day because of the upcoming event that evening. Meg wanted to make some special touches to Lightning’s look, so the girls didn’t waist any time to go back up to their dorm and prepare for the gala. The blue cat revealed herself to Lightning when she arrived back in the dorm. “ GAH....... w-what........ who....... who are you?..... “ Lightning asked, a bit nervous. “ She can break the spell....... “ “ Come on, Lightning...... “ “ Just rewrite the stars..... and begin something new......“ the cat spoke in a mysterious voice. “ Rewrite the stars?........ break the spell?
