After a minute, Lightning stood up, trying not to trip on anything since she had a dress on. “ You look absolutely stunning, Lightning........ “ Meg said, walking over to her friend while wearing her jumpsuit. “ Eh-heh....... thanks, Meg...... you look amazing too. “ Lightning replied with a slight nervous smile. “ The gala will be starting in like an hour....... ready to go? “ Meg asked. “ Yep, you coming erm...... miss cat? “ Lightning asked, looking over at the blue creature. “ My name is Afina the Guide to the Power of Song. " Meg said with a smile, grabbing her purse and walking out of the dorm. Lightning smiled back, grabbing her purse as well then following her friend close behind. Ace as he arrived at the Academy Gala had a black leather suit on with a gold shirt, dark grey boots with gold buckles and gold earrings. Myla was wearing a white shirt dress with rhinestones, a blue sapphire necklace, light grey slip ons and some silver earrings. Spade, Cia and a few other principals were getting the music equipment set up for the dance floor inside the event room. Meg and Lightning were just waiting outside the room for the doors to open, along with the rest of the students that were attending. Lightning glanced over at Ace near Myla, trying not to fluster up from the handsome vibes of his outfit for this special school event. “ Whatcha looking at Lightning? “ Meg asked, noticing her friend looking sorta deep in thought. “ EH- u-um- I’m fine- just looking around..... “ Lightning replied, feeling a bit embarrassed. After finishing her sentence, the doors of the event room opened and Cia came out, announcing, “ Alright, everyone! It’s time for the gala to begin! Please come in. “ then with a smile, Cia moved out of the way. Students in front of the now open doors started to walk inside the decorated event room. Lightning was trying to follow Meg inside but something grabbed her wrist and pulled her back. Lightning stumbled a bit from the touch. “ H-hey!! Let- “ Lightning tried to say but another hand covered her mouth so none of the students would here her calling for help. “ Don’t....... move...... “ a female voice spoke while tugging her away from the others. The hand uncovered her mouth once they were far enough away. “ W-Who- when- what is the meaning of this?! “ Lightning said, looking over at the person holding her wrist. It was none other than Crystal that had her grip. “ My name....... is Crystal.......... Myla’s sister. “ Crystal spoke. “ W-what?! “ Lightning said. “ Evil sister........ and Myla is evil as well............ she’s playing with Ace’s heart......... and we noticed you starting to build a bond with him. So that’s why we have to take you away from him....... once...... and for all. Your not getting in the way of our dad’s plans. “ Crystal explained. “ Let me go!! “ Lightning yelped, growling. Crystal cackled a bit, not caring. “ I sense your fear, Lightning.......... your not getting your way, sorry...... not sorry. “ Crystal said, grinning where her sharp teeth showed. The hand Crystal wasn’t holding onto Lightning with started to glow a bright black mixed with ivy green. The magic from her circled Lightning as she let go of her hand. Lightning tried to jump at Crystal the minute she let go but got thrown back by magic. “ EH- “ Lightning yelled slightly. “ Good-bye....... Lightning the pathetic hedgehog....... “ Crystal said and cackled once more. Smoke surrounded Lightning to where she couldn’t see anything around her, a minute later the smoke clearing. She wasn’t in the academy anymore though,-
