⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀Scratch Art Camp FAQ! → What in the world is SAC? SAC is Scratch Art Camp! It's an online camp that runs in February, June, and October where you get to hang out with other artists and get feedback to improve. You set a minute goal (more on that later) and you'll be put into one of the 8 lodges. SAC was inspired by many other Scratch camps. → Do I have to make the type of art that my lodge name is? Not at all! Names are just names; draw whatever you like. → What types of art can I make to count towards my minute goal? Drawing, painting, graphic designing, pottery, sculpting, and making friendship bracelets. If you have another art form, and you don't know if it counts, feel free to ask! → What's the competitive aspect? During camp, there will be lodge points. You work as a team WITH your lodge to get points from doing dailies and weekendlies! The winning lodge at the end of camp gets bragging rights lol. Make sure you produce quality over quantity for making art! Please don't rush when doing dailies/weekendlies just to do it for points, you have time! (depending on the camp season/year, competitive aspect may vary) → What are minutes? In SAC, our system is minutes per art. You'll set a minute goal which is how many minutes you want to spend on your art throughout the month. When you comment on how many minutes you did art for, please include what you did like "+7 for a sketch of my dog" or something not just "+7 minutes". Work hard towards your personal goal! For new campers, a recommended goal would be about 700-1,000 minutes. → What is a reserve? When adding minutes, we expect honesty! We're implementing a reserve limit so when you add minutes, you can only go up to 800 without sharing proof, though if your count is still suspicious, your leader may ask for proof. Of course, you can still go over the 800 limit! You may just need to share proof for honesty :) → What are daily and weekendly activities? Dailies are posted in the description of the main lodge every day (except weekends) with new and fun activities! When you finish each piece of art, comment it in your lodge, so others can see it and post it in the main lodge so a leader can add your points! Weekendlies are similar to dailies, but are on the weekend and are more challenging! Both dailies and weekendlies give your whole lodge points! Remember if you want points for your lodge please send the link and your lodge in the main lodge so we can see!! Please remember to put time and effort into this :) (Proof is required for all dailies and weekendlies unless stated so) → When are dailies and weekendlies updated? Dailies and weekendlies will be updated every day at midnight NDT. If you don’t know what that is in your timezone, search it up! → What do I do in my lodge as a camper? In your lodge, you can of course interact with your other fellow campers, do in-cabin activities if planned, add your minutes, and more! → What if I have a problem with a Scratcher in my lodge? Tell one of the hosts and they will help assist you in any way they can! (hosts vary from season to season) → What do leaders do? Leaders participate in a certain lodge and get to know their campers. In the main lodge, they will be managers and will add points when someone sends their link of the daily/weekendly with their lodge. They'll be able to make activities for their separate lodge with their co-leader. → What do co-leaders do? Pretty much the same thing leaders do although they can not change lodge points, and have fewer responsibilities. → What if I have more questions related to SAC? Feel free to put them in the comments below :) and someone will answer them/it. → Should I join SAC? OF COURSE WITHOUT YOU ALL, WE DON'T HAVE SAC! Credits: → SWC for inspiring and the idea of SAC → for creating SAC → for co-hosting 1 session, and co-creating SAC → , , , , , , & for (co-) hosting in the past → so many more to come!
