Heyo! It's Lemon! This is my entry for Washed Ashore, who I am going to call Shard. Bio: Name: Shard Gender: Female Age: 12 cat years Likes: Ice, snow, quiet, winter, the sea, night, northern lights, cold, Dislikes: Crowds, noise, summer, day, chocolate, heat Story: Hi. My name is Shard. I've always been alone. Or - maybe not always - but for almost as long as I can remember. I still have tiny peices of memories of when I had a family, and when I lost them. Their not complete, just a glimpse and blossoming trees swaying in the summer breeze, a touch of a warm hand, a hint of a caring smile. Rough memories of someone collapsing, a time when we starved, a blurry picture of Angel falling ill. But I don't care anymore, because I've lost everything. I had a family once. A strong, brave father named Wood, a loving, hard working mother named Cecicily, and a beautiful, kind sister named Angel. At first, we were just a normal family, and I was a normal child. But everything changed when I turned 3. Everything. I was climbing a tree, naughty and curious as I was, and I got to the highest branch. Just then, I lost my balance. It was a very tall tree, mind you. I thought I would fall, all the way to the ground 60 feet below me, but I didn't. As my the left side of my back hit one of the branches, the falling stopped. My back was frozen to the tree. I had the power to control ice. After that, it's blurry. Everyone hated me, was scared of me. I already had a name, it was "Esterla", but the other cats renamed me. "Shard". Because they believed I was dangerous, like sharp, deadly shards of ice. My family still loved me. But eventually, I lost them, too. Then I met Alice. I was fishing one day, after I crawled out of my igloo and into the winter world outside. She apeared behind me, silently, without my noticing. "Heeey, won't you catch a cold here?" She had sleek fur which was completely black except for the tufts of white on the tip of her ears and the fluffy white ends of her tail. Her right eye was purple while her left was white. Her left front ankle had a silver snake bangle(not shaped like a snake, it just snaked around her ankle). She introduced herself as Alice. She, like me, was an outcast. And She, like me, had powers. She was a shapeshifter, meaning she can change forms and can turn into different animals. We built a den together, made of birch wood and decorated with iris, as these two things are symbols of hope. Little by little, we get to know eachother. She had a sister too. We were never really alone, we just never found eachother. But now, we have. { END }
