This game is better played by two players, but can be played singleplayer by activating Computer Enemy in the settings. Welcome to Charged Numbers, a game where information is key. You may choose a selectable number to charge up your power meter. However, you need to be strategic because if the number you select has been picked before, you will take damage equal to the number you picked. If your power meter is charged, your power meter will absorb the damage you take. The higher of a number you pick, the more you charge your power meter by. If you charge your power meter to 1000, you get to activate one of many powers. Below your power meter shows you which power will be activated if you fully charge your power meter. Click it to see what it does. If you don't think the power you received is fit for your situation, you may charge your meter by a low number instead and wait another turn. If you want to change how the game works, go to settings to customize the game to what fits you best. Below are ways you can change the game: - Starting Max - The starting max can be changed to a value between 250 and 900. This represents the max number you can pick by default. This number can be changed for each player by the use of powers. - Power Charge - The power charge can be changed to a float number between 0 and 4. This represents the multiplier applied to number charges. This means 0 disables charging of the power meter and 4 allows players to fully charge the meter using a number greater than 250. - Player Health - Player health can be set to a number between 1 and 1000. This value represents max player health and does not allow players to heal over this point. This means a player health of 1 will be an instant loss if damage is taken. - Smooth Powers - Smooth powers is a cosmetic change that changes the way the powers are drawn. This does not affect the debuff indicator or pop-ups. By enabling smooth powers, the power indicator underneath the power meter will be drawn by vector instead of by mouse. - Computer Enemy - The computer enemy is a setting to be activated only when you are playing singleplayer. When activated, player two will be replaced by a computer that selects a random number on their turn. - Computer Enemy Bias - This setting gives the computer an upper hand by charging the computer's meter by more. The computer also avoids picking you numbers. 1 is normal, 0.5 is easy, and 20 is the hardest. - Audio Cues - When audio cues are enabled, your opponent will be able to tell how charged your power meter is and what ability you activated through audio cues. Surprise debuffs will not make any noise at all. If disabled, your opponent will not be able to tell what number you picked or how charged your power meter is through audio cues, and they will not know if you activated a power. However, successful and failed charges will still play a noise.
