The lights in the room dimmed down to a lower setting to get the happy and romantic mood started. All the students smiled and walked up to their partners, friends and siblings. Beginning to dance the night away with the ones they cared about the most. Rather that was a friend..... or someone who was related to them. No matter the gang was gonna try to make the best of the rest of the evening. Ace watched the scenery around him for a few minutes. Seeing smiling faces and happy classmates was quite a joy for him to watch. With a mixture of happiness from the good ending and having a new healthy relationship, Ace turned back to Lightning. “ Glad all that drama is finally over. Now we can focus on the more important things...... “ Ace said to her. Lightning smiled, “ Yeah...... it was a lot. I’m glad it’s over too.......... you have..... um..... no idea how worried I was about you. “ Lightning said, looking down slightly from embarrassment. “ Hey hey....... “ Ace started to say, gently taking his finger and lifting her chin up. Lightning turned a tad red from the touch, linking eyes with him again once her head was back up. “ I’m okay now right, Princess?...... “ Ace finished with the question. Turning redder from the nickname she responded to him, “ Y-Yeah....... eh-heh “ . Taking both her hands into his again, he looked at her with a friendly smile before starting to dance a bit to the music. Lightning let out a girly giggle and danced by his side with a happy smile. The perfect night Lightning had been dreaming of had finally come to a reality. Though, she never dreamed that part of it would be dancing with the love of her life, all dressed up in fancy clothes too. Even thought part of her dress was ripped thanks to battle, she didn’t care as long as Ace was by her side that very special night. Meg took a glance at Lightning and Ace, smiling warmly to know she was finally happy. Spade and Cia watched as well, feeling a spark of joy for them. The moon had just risen over the horizon and the stars were out. Everyone scampered out of the school and into the courtyard to gaze at the starry skies. The stars were so bright out that it almost felt like you could reach up and touch one like they were right above your head. Lightning and Ace held each other’s hand, laughing and smiling while walking through the grass and talking. “ This was a great day....... “ Lightning admitted, smiling at him. “ You know what makes it better?...... you. “ Ace said with a smile. “ well...... you made it better as well, Ace. “ Lightning replied, with a smile as well. Gazing hard and long at each other, Ace found himself leaning towards her. Feeling unsure but lost in a trance, Lightning leaned in as well. Closing their eyes slowly, the two shared a first peck. No one even noticed the tender moment thanks to other distractions. It was truly a day to remember for many centuries. The power of song flew to victory today. Showing the way and granting a wish that was unbreakable...... love. A love between a little ship that people like to call...... Liace.
