You can darken and reset colors using the following: Head - Darken colors with Q, reset with W Thorax - Darken colors with E, reset with R Abdomen - Darken colors with T, reset with Y Legs - Darken colors with U, reset with I You can make more natural colors for your beetle by using those color darkeners.
