• - - - • (I might unshare this project later, sorry ;~;) Hello everybody, This has been bothering my for a while, so I thought I'd finally share it with you. (For context, since I have had several accounts, this is coming from someone who has used scratch and been at least sort of interacting with the art and animation community for nearly six years) So, if someone took an animation and used it without credit - we'd all go ballistic, right? I'm not necessarily saying that's a good or bad thing - personally I think we could use some chill but it's good that we want to protect artist's rights. However, I'd like to ask why this only happens with drawn art? Nobody seems to bat an eye when someone says "All GIFs belong to their rightful owners" or "Music not mine" or "Photography by ???". Why is that? Music, GIFs and Photography can take a lot of time to make - sometimes even longer than drawn art - and I find it hypocritical to enforce credit for one but not the other. So please, credit the GIFs and Photos in the background of your animation memes. Write the name of the composer of the song you used in the notes and credits. It's really not that hard.
