This engine supports 4 players. You are very welcome to add more people, by making the cloud variables and modifying the Export Cloud Data and Import Cloud Data variables to support them. Oh and also the engine is mobile-friendly.
The source code is no longer available due to changes in the Scratch API. If you need help, please drop a comment below. If you need a reference, the code in this project is very similar to the one in my engine https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/473084879/ but this link is more advanced and supports 10 players instead of 4.
