I haven't done one of these in quite a while, so I decided to do one again! Today I'll be drawing Tsunami from the book series Wings of Fire. Ironically, the last one I did was also of a SeaWing (the type of dragon that Tsunami is). Aaaand, you'll get a sneak peak of something that I should hopefully be posting later this week.
Here are the steps for the drawing process! I had to put it in the description because of some... technical difficulties. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ 1. Okie, so we're inside the program. Normally, I draw a simple sketch before going over it with a more complicated one, but because I already had the traditional version of the drawing, we're just going to skip that today. 2. So, we're starting with the line-art! 3. Now I get rid of the sketch 4. At this point, I'm getting more organized by putting layers in folders, and I have refs for the colors because I don't think I've ever colored a drawing of Tsunami before. 5. Whoo! Base color time! Don't worry, we're not done coloring yet ;) 6. Here's some more color! 7. And more! 8. Oops, forgot the teeth 9. e y e 10. We're about to move onto shading! 11. I normally don't shade like this, but I'm trying to make the lighting ~dramatic~ 12. I just lowered the opacity a bit 13. Highlights/lighting! 14. I don't know what I did here XP 15. Now I cleaned up some stuff for the finished product 16. Outline! This makes your drawing pop, but I only suggest using it for busts or pictures without backgrounds, like this And now...the finished product! ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Art - @Lynxfeather305 Character - Tsunami (belongs to Tui T.
