Believe it or not, I made this art in Scratch Vector Editor! So anyone who dare say SVE is not a good art program, come fite me (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Lol I had to reshape so many shapes that it lagged the project so I converted the final vector costume to jpg. And Scratch deteriorated the quality.┗( T◡T )┛ Click to zoom! Thank you very much @-Sukii for hosting this collab! Also, shoutout to @Rainbowgeckos! I heard this song for the first time in one of her projects! https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/458707110/ Alrighty, now time for ANALYSIS of ma art! Soldier, Poet, King is a song about what the title suggests. Hearing this song, and watching several animations made by others for it, I started developing OCs inspired from the lyrics. The first OC (left) represents the 'soldier' mentioned in the song. The second OC (middle) represents the 'poet'. And for a special reason, in my art, the poet is a girl. The third OC (right) represents the 'king/ruler' and is not human, he is a fae. Or what you could call a 'fairy' (that's right everyone, that guy's a fairy!) Now, onto the story! When I listened to this song, I was imaging a medieval kingdom that has been taken over by a stronger empire, and the citizens are trying to claim independence. Then one day, in a small village, when people are gathering for a festival, a fortune teller lady suddenly starts singing about a prophecy. This prophecy isn't one of those 'chosen one' prophecy stereotypes. Instead, its a simple song about a soldier, a poet and a ruler who will free their kingdom. There's nothing special mentioned about those three, just that they would come someday. Those three people of the prophecy are the OCs I've shown in my art! The soldier hopes to one day become a great warrior, and got trained under a retired war lord. His brother is a blacksmith, who created a sword for him. Since the sword was made by his own brother, the soldier has a profound virtue to use it for what's right. Thus, making it a 'mighty sword' for him. In the art, the sword is glowing blue and strapped to the back of his armor. The poet, is an aspiring fortune teller / foreseer. She writes all the prophecies in a special book to see their connections. One day, she goes to the kingdom's capitol to publicly recite a prophecy. But during the recital she keeps herself hidden with a hooded cloak. Which leads people to believe she's a boy. Thus explaining why the main prophecy described a male poet. In the art, she's holding the cloak in her right hand, with the book of prophecies glowing purple in her left. Also, the reason I made the poet a foreseer is because technically, a prophecy is a poem foretelling a future event. And she writes prophecies based on what she hears and sees in her premonitions/visions. Also! Funfact, she is the apprentice of the fortune teller who recited the prophecy of the Soldier, Poet and King! The ruler, or a ruler-to-be, is the fairy. He comes from a tribe of fairies living in the forests. Every fairy king or queen choose their successors by testing the youth and choosing those who have potential lead. As for the ruler to be, he has been chosen as the successor of the current fairy king. That is why he is wearing shiny royal robes, because he is the future king. They all live relatively normal lives. Until fate brings them together, and they realize that they have the same dream. To make their kingdom independent again. And they end up becoming the three mentioned in the prophecy, allying to free their land. Funfact/coincidence - The soldier's sword is glowing blue, which - in the Power Force Storyline - is Ashane's aura colour. The poet's book is glowing purple, which is Yeolin's aura colour. And the king/ruler's fairy wings are glowing pale green, which is Banana's aura colour! So perhaps, I subconsciously turned my Power Force OCs into these guys, or I maybe I just like the colour combination of green, blue and purple (¬‿¬) PS - I apologize for giving the soldier such a weird armor lol. Idk how to draw medieval armor. And yikes, the fairy's pointed ears turned out looking like someone boxed them... *bows to the future fairy king* I apologize your majesty for drawing your beautiful ears that way. ( ˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈♡)
