Every difference I could find: -Scratch Cat's legs are straight instead of being positioned as if SC was walking. SC is also noticeably taller, and his arms are hanging down instead of being angled. He also has 6 whiskers instead of 4, a closed mouth, a slightly differently shaped head, completely different eyes, a tail without a white spot at the end, and a closed mouth. Lastly, the white spot on his face is much smaller. -Gobo's eyes had a much different design, with blue irises and a longer shape. His spikes were also much shorter and he only had 2 legs. His arms also have a different design and he has a larger mouth and body. -Jaime's design is almost identical to his final. The only differences are a different face, different shoe and hoodie colors, a similar but still different hairstyle, and a slightly darker skin tone. I did some digging on the disc and discovered an unused sprite. Several files had it listed as 'sprite005', but eventually, I found a folder named 'test' which had a file within it called 'tento2.png'. 'Tento' means 'sky lantern' in Japanese. The sprite does somewhat resemble a Japanese-style mythical creature, and I could see it's design being used for a lantern, so it checks out. Within the folder containing tento2.png was a text file called 'forteam.txt' and it read as follows: "We should consider scrapping this sprite. Several students from our test group described it as creepy. -mres" I could definitely see where the testers were coming from.
