Hey hey hey! here is part one of my entry for @coralsong’s dta :] i just saw this dta like 5 days ago and i just- I STARTED WORKING ON SO MUCH STUFF OMG- also let me know if the sound isnt working for you, bc its being a bit funky rn and i cant hear anything. lmk if you cant hear anything either! i’ll fix it right away :] (PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS! THE LINKS TO THE OTHER PROJECTS WILL BE AT THE END) Last night i figured out i really liked this design so i made a little animation out of this song and put it into my entry! I’m VERY proud with this, and the drawing the frames BURNED ME OUT. I spent like an hour on each one qwq but in the end i think this turned out great! I originally planned on animating the whole song but then the smart me kicked in and i realized that would take a long time :] if i win this character though i do plan on making the animatic for the entire song, because the part i did was only the first few seconds haha anyways, i hope you like this entry! keep in mind this is only part one so there’s more on the way <3 name - alvar nickname - al gender - unknown pronouns - he/him, they/them role - a little buddy that guides you through your dreams in order to not get into a dangerous situation <3 likes - chaos, bright colors, nostalgia, mirrors, vintage, sleeping on clouds, helping his friend pass their dream successfully, RUBBER DUCKIES, pool toys, generally having a good time dislikes - dream demons (and having to become one as well), nightmares, people who dream in black and white, bad dreams, having to deal with his friends trauma in a nightmare (basically when you replay bad memories in your head), somehow ending up in reality where he doesn’t belong sexuality - gay, but he isn’t interested in finding love personality type - ENFP sign - taurus species - unknown, but some even believe he can shapeshift age - any age his friend imagines him to be, but he usually seems to have the personality and intelligence of a child. aesthetic/theme - dreamcore, weirdcore, nostalgiacore, traumacore height - any size his friend imagines him to be alignment - chaotic good weight - weightless, similar to a ghost. after all, he is just part of someones imagination. small backstory - Alvar is a companion to have on your side while you dream. He always makes sure you stay safe, whether you’re having a good or bad dream. However, (usually in nightmares) there are dream demons, and the only thing the dream demons want and desire to do is to give trauma to the dreamer. When this happens, Al himself can become a dream demon and scare off the others, in order to protect the dreamer. Alvar’s only goal is to have the dreamer pass through sleep successfully. However sometimes the dreamer may enter a lucid dream (in case you don’t know what that is, its when you’re aware you’re dreaming). When that happens, they have the choice to summon Alvar- but this is very dangerous for him, because it could end up revealing him to reality if you end up telling anyone that you summoned/saw him.
