Okay, I really missed drawing her. Sometimes I wish I hadn't deleted Sixtale, gosh darn it. The character is the now-deleted Sixtale Frisk I promise I drew for 4 hours yesterday, but the odds were against me, and working too much can really reduce the quality of your work. So after the 4 hours were done, I played a bunch of Minecraft and listened to Spotify
Okay, so- I thought I was doing better with my color palette, but no. This is not good. This is very bad. When I looked at her original ref, she had 11 COLORS. HOW THE HECK- 4 SHADES OF BLACK. So- yeah. You bet that was ✨extremely fun✨ to fix. The skin felt too saturated. I really have to draw more people with darker skin tones, so I like that I did that, but still, it was so saturated I didn't really like it. The black sweater is still black on black ofc and the magenta is true magenta. I got this tip from someone and I couldn't find their account ;-; after this, I'll keep trying to find them, because I wouldn't have corrected the saturation without them. I still dislike using a random true white for the mini poncho, so I used the gold of her eyes. That new mouth I drew makes me really happy for some reason. Probably because I followed a lavendertowne tip, and she is like- my hero. Please check her out. There isn't anything bad about this art in particular. The main thing is that whether or not you always color with black outlines, I recommend using lighter/white outlines when they're separating two blacks. But I don't ever solve that in my old art, so- The background is also 100% saturation and lightness, which is WAY too much. I recommend using low saturation backgrounds, bc they're easy to work with. I also recommend adding some interest to the background. I know I haven't done this in my new art, but it's a pretty good idea as long as the character still stands out That's it for my critiques. Um- yeah,
